I love love love Acu Medic clinic and Dr Chan! I’m always welcomed very warmly and the organisation of the sessions are excellent! A few months ago my monthly cycle had severe irregularities and my PMS was very intense. I started having regular sessions with Dr Chen and after even after first 6 session cycle there were fantastic improvements. Now when I’ve completed my second 6 session cycle I can with confidence say that Pms is practically unnoticeable and my period is back to usual 26 days, it’s light and easy. It feels miraculous! I am very grateful and now I’m continuing the third cycle just to support my general well-being! I love the sense of balance and ease everytime I leave the clinic!!

Generally very good experience with AcuMedic. The only thing I struggle with is the price of the herbs you are given to complement the acupuncture. They are very expensive for the amount given. You don’t have to buy them of course.

I approached AcuMedic nearly 2 years ago on a visit to the UK as I felt I had not recovered fully from hormonal imbalances caused by calcium malabsorption I had experienced in my childhood. The medicines I had been taking had restored my hormone levels but I felt I still had some imbalances which had not been restored and felt like a storm still going in my head. I was taking testosterone at the time I had approached AcuMedic as well as problems with my speech and excessive sweating, lack of confidence and generally not feeling like I had reached my potential. After taking the Chinese herbs Dr Lily prescribed for almost 2 years my testosterone levels are now normal and I no longer need testosterone replacement, my body thermostat is now normal, my speech has improved tremendously and I feel much more confident in myself and more energetic, AcuMedic has definitely changed my life and I am so happy now. I am therefore very grateful to AcuMedic and Dr Lily for helping me on this road to a more happy life and balanced body as I never thought this would happen. I strongly recommend AcuMedic to everyone seeking any medical help and more quality of life.

***Effective, natural, holistic treatment for abnormal cervical cells dysplasia - invasive procedure avoided*** I had an abnormal smear a couple of years ago that showed I had the HPV virus in my cervical cells and it had started to cause level 1 cell changes. There are 4 levels, 1-4, where (in layman's terms) 1 is slight abnormalities, 2 is more developed abnormalities, 3 is pre-cancerous and 4 is cancer. I was sent for a colposcopy (biopsy) and monitored every 6 months. Often our immune system can clear up the cell abnormalities and virus by itself (and this happened to me when I was younger) but this time, the some of the abnormal cells instead progressed to stage 2. The NHS clinic that had been carefully monitoring me (to their credit) at this point said they've like to offer me treatment - a 'hot loop excision' or LEEP procedure (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure). It is usually carried under a local anaesthetic (a drug is injected into your cervix to numb the area) in the clinic. A pen with a small heated fine wire loop is used to remove to remove the transformation zone of the cervix - the area of endothelial cells at the opening of the cervix. The wire has an electrical current running through it, which cuts the tissue and seals the wound at the same time. It takes about 15 minutes. I know the procedure is very common and routine and know several women who've had it. However, I also know - both from having read about and because it happened to a friend of my sister's - that in some cases removal of this area of the cervix can lead to complications with fertility and conception in women. My sister's friend, though she managed to conceive, also had to have a stitch place din her cervix at a late stage of pregnancy and take rest to avoid early labour. Since I am still hopeful of becoming a mother, I did not want to risk impacting my fertility. I also did not want to undergo and invasive procedure if I did not have to, and as my immune system had cleared it up once before, I wondered if there was some sort of immune imbalance or deficiency that might call for a more holistic approach. I must have read something about Chinese medicine and cervical dysplasia because something made me research it more deeply. I read clinical trial findings looking at efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine in treating this condition, and the results were encouraging. Then I cam across some testimonials about Dr Lily from women who had sought treatment for the same condition but in much more advanced stages - one woman having been diagnosed with vaginal cancer and being advised by her consultant that she faced a hysterectomy. After seeking treatment with Dr Lily, her symptoms completely receded, and she eventually had a negative smear. I realise not everyone is the same and responds to treatments in the same way, but I wanted to explore this as an option before going ahead with any procedure. I put the NHS off and booked in with Dr Lily. I can honestly say I really enjoy the time I spend with Dr Lily.Because Chinese medicine is such a holistic practice and takes a whole-person, whole-systems approach, she learns a lot about my condition by talking to me about my life, my day-to-day experiences, how I respond to them, and my mental and emotional wellbeing (and that of my close family members) as she does from looking at my tongue, taking my pulse and asking about things like bowel health and menstrual cycle. I have really felt heard, and my consultations with her must be at least 45 minutes long, I tend to lose track of time while we're chatting. She said I had an overall 'yang' energy deficiency - the heating energy need to power bodily functions - and especially weaknesses in the function of my stomach, spleen and kidneys. This was impacting my overall immune health, which is why my immune system was struggling to eliminate the virus. She prescribed Chinese herbal medicine treatment, daily. She also said I needed to make changes to my diet, prioritising certain 'warming' foods that would put heat back into my system and also prioritising warm, cooked foods. She predicted that after 3 months I should start to turn a corner. Importantly, when I went back to the NHS clinic after 3 months of Dr Lily's herbal treatment, the cell changes and regressed back to level 1 and the clinician did not see any need to go ahead with treatment. Just a check up in 6 months. Moreover, because this is a holistic treatment that is addressing my whole system - physiological, energetic, mental and emotional - I am feeling the benefits well beyond the problem with which I arrived at Dr Lily's door. When I first started treatment, I had been feeling tired a lot of the time and 'blocked' or 'stuck' in terms of my working capacity and creativity. I was also cold a lot of the time. Now I have more capacity to get through my work day to day, have lots of ideas and can see solutions where i could not previously. I am less tired and less cold - i don’t always have freezing cold hands and feet! I am still in treatment with Dr Lily, so I am hoping the cervical cell changes may reduce yet further. It is not cheap; a month's tailored prescription of premium grade Chinese herbs and supplements is about £400 for me, which is a stretch for my finances. However, in my opinion it is worth every penny.

Dr Yi was very reassuring and I enjoyed my sessions with them, how it’s doesn’t really cure psoriasis (for anyone looking to get a full healing).
