About Care Oncology Clinic
Care Oncology Clinic offers a physician-supervised treatment regimen developed for patients with cancer. The protocol is designed to target multiple cancer pathways simultaneously and can be considered alongside conventional cancer treatments.
The specialist clinicians at Care Oncology Clinic have experience with various types of cancer, including solid tumours and blood cancers, and are knowledgeable about standard-of-care therapies. The treatment provided is personalised to individual needs, and patients receive regular monitoring and support throughout their treatment with the COC Protocol.
The COC Protocol is a combination of specific conventional pharmaceuticals that work together to restrict the ability of cancer cells to metabolise energy. Non-cytotoxic agents with established safety profiles are also included to hinder cancer cell survival, particularly in challenging environments such as during chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy. By targeting the altered metabolic mechanisms common to most cancers, while sparing healthy cells, the COC Protocol can potentially benefit patients with any type, stage, or location of cancer.
Patients aged 18 and over at different stages of their cancer journey can engage with Care Oncology Clinic. Whether they are newly diagnosed, undergoing surveillance, in remission but at risk of recurrence, experiencing disease progression, or starting palliative care, they may be eligible for treatment if they meet certain criteria regarding their health status and baseline blood results.
Continued medical supervision is a core aspect of Care Oncology Clinic's service, as patients' health conditions, blood test parameters, standard-of-care treatments, and circumstances evolve over time. Treatment plans are openly shared, and adjustments or pauses to the protocol are made based on each patient's individual needs, with a focus on prioritising standard-of-care therapy.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled at 8-week intervals to review progress. These appointments ensure patient safety during the initial treatment phase and allow for any necessary adjustments. Subsequent 12-week review appointments consider additional clinical information, such as ongoing interval blood results, scan reports, and the introduction of new treatments or medications. Patients have access to telephone and email support between appointments at no additional cost, and an Out of Hours telephone service is also available.

This was my first visit to the clinic and I found the COC team to be very friendly and helpful. Everyone was approachable and straightaway put me at ease. Dr Hariharan Kuhan was very knowledge about the treatments planned and explained everything to me in detail, but in a way that was easily understood. As a result, I’m looking forward to starting the protocol in the very near future.

The service I have received has been excellent. My initial enquiry was answered within a couple of hours. The service made it very easy for me to understand the service that I would receive, they were supportive and personable in enabling me to set up a consultation. The service is regulated by the Quality Care Commission and they have a good inspection rating and I was reassured by the way that they need various documents and tests provided prior to accepting my husband as a potential patient. The oncologist Dr Kuhan was fantastic, as he was professional, extremely knowledgable and very supportive. I also found the price very reasonable for the service being provided. Would highly recommend this service.

I have just had my first appointment with a COC so I cannot say too much, but so far I appreciate my interaction with COC very much. In particular, a prompt reply to my e-mail questions posted after the consultation. Though what really matters is the outcome, so I am keeping my fingers crossed and waiting with further comments. It is not that easy to sound very upbeat and optimistic in such situations, though the COC Doctor was extremely friendly and did his best to pass on me his belief in the final success.

I am very grateful to have found COC. I have been with them since June of 2017. My contact with Raphael Swery and dr. Samir Agrawal has been wonderful throughout. The rest of the staff who do planning and finance are very kind.
