I had 23 sessions of Radiotherapy. The first week was difficult for me as the appointments were at different times and I could not get into a routine especially over the water intake before each session. Once we had sorted the appts to be at the same time each day things became much easier.

The team in Guildford have been amazing. Firstly incredibly friendly and secondly very organised. Both of these are important to me. Having been referred to the Centre for radiotherapy my treatment was well planned out, head of time, so I could organised my weeks. Taxis were provided for every appointment - both pick up and drop off - which took any stress out of driving and parking on site. But most important of all the team were always there with a friendly, helpful manner and any questions/concerns always answered/discussed. At a stressful time the team in Guildford made it as stress free as they possibly could.

Outstanding care package experience. Excellent professional communications material both at the beginning and end. Radio team effective and pleasant over the 7.5 weeks. The range and richness of the Penny Brohn support was amazing - counselling, exercise classes of various levels, information webinars, nurse specialists who linked directly to the radio team and to the oncologist in a quick and seamless way - unexpectedly brilliant.
