Superb Doctor Mr Alun Yewlett and fab nurses

Excellent. Was attended by professional and friendly nurses who followed a thorough process before the consultant took over.

Excellent all the way through, from my initial consultation to my actual operation and post operative care to removal of sutures.

My overall experience was excellent. it was clean, quiet and the rooms were very nice. the bathroom was a particular highlight. some hotels have less nice bathrooms! My post-op food arrived soon after I requested it, and was tasty. My only criticism would be a longer than necessary (in my view) wait to be discharged, which was just about the pharmacist dispensing the medication. it meant I was in around an hour longer than I could have been.

Amazing nurses and treatment. The food was great too. Night and day they were attentive and kind.

All the staff were superb in every aspect

One of the best hospitals in the country. Not only were they efficient they also upgraded my room at No Further cost. Normally for day case patients they place one in a smaller room. Because they knew I am claustrophobic they placed me In the larger room and it was akin to a 5star hotel with phenomenal healthcare! I would highly recommend the hospital and every aspect of the same

I underwent a facial procedure last Wednesday and I would like to thank all the three nurses that looked after me, especially the male Phillipino nurse ( sorry forgot their names). He was very kind and helpful. One thing I would like to mention - the almost transparent paper under wear I was asked to wear prior to going to the theatre- terrified me as I’m also trans in cognito. I’m sure anyone else who is not trans would have felt the same. I thought what’s the point why should it be transparent? I’ve had many other surgeries in and out of the country and never have come across this little contraption elsewhere. They wouldn’t allow me to wear my own underwear I understand they are infection risk ! ( I was having a procedure on my face though). I was wearing my theatre gown though thankfully but I wouldn’t know if they remained that way as they were loosely tied. I hope the hospital authorities will take this into consideration.

Very good on all fronts apart from one point. I ended up having to pay for pain relief offered immediately after the surgery, which I only accepted because I assumed it was part of the post-op package. If it had been clearly described as supplementary I would certainly not have bothered. I was perfectly aware that I would have to pay for extra meds, but it should have been clearly explained that this WAS extra. In my view it should have been part and parcel of the surgery package.

In general I had a good experience however the ward was not well prepared for a person with a lip-oedema which I mentioned in my pre assessment. They needed an hour to find a hospital gown which fit and they were not able to prevent Thrombose socks in my size. The room itself was dusty. My socks which I put on the floor were dusty when I picked them back up. Also the part you put around the arm for measuring the blood pressure did not fit and I as medical doctor I needed to explain the blood pressure results with the smaller size will be too high. They found after a while a bigger item But then the machine didn’t work. The one nurse tried then to measure the blood pressure on my under arm Which is quite inaccurate but better than nothing and then she wanted to try it around my food. Another nurse came and he did the measurements on my lower arm in a good way but still the results are not as reliable as around the upper arm. I think it is also important to be prepared for bigger sized people. Luckily the blood pressure machine in the operation theatre worked. The staff themself tried their best. Sorry for mentioning it but I also expect that the receptionist in a private hospital have their nails done properly. And not split nail polish which appears quite untidy. The receptionist in my opinion are important as they provide the first impression and I think they should have an immaculate presentation.
