We were extremely grateful that Mr Curry saw us on a day that was convenient for us, and we were able to get an appointment with him within a week. Mr Curry saw us at GOSH and explained scan results to us clearly which was very helpful. Mr Curry was professional and kind, and really helped to put our minds at ease.

We have been using Mr Joseph Curry for about 12 years now with regards to my son's gastrostomy and I have nothing but absolute praise for him. He is an amazing surgeon and consultant and would recommend him to anyone. All our procedures and admissions have gone extremely smoothly and we have always been kept fully informed as to the situation. He always takes time out of his extremely busy schedule to make sure you feel at ease with what's happening and so you feel that he has your child's absolute best interests at heart as if they were his own. We owe huge gratitude to Mr Curry and cannot praise him enough.

Explanation

Mr Curry is nothing short of an outstanding consultant / surgeon. Our 1 year old son had severe Ulcerative Colitis and needed an Ileostomy. Mr Curry explained the procedure and what to practically expect extremely clearly. He was very patient with our multitude of questions (from both us as parents and my son) and spent as long as we needed answering them in terms that we could all understand. Mr Curry would always make himself available to answer follow up questions and concerns and was extremely flexible when supporting us post op (we were trying to get back to Hong Kong where we live). His calm, considerate and empathetic demeanor helped us enormously in terms of being able manage this process. The quality of his work is evident in that 4 days after a major surgery via keyhole my son was able to venture out of the hospital to watch the football! Our son's ongoing speedy and positive recovery is also testament to this. Mr Curry has built an amazing team around him who are also very responsive, thoughtful and skillful. We could not be more thankful to Mr Curry and his incredible team.

Dr Joe Curry has looked after our daughter for almost 4 years and we couldn’t be more happier with the care she has received so far. He has performed 4 surgeries for her which were success and the recovery has been very fast. His team is very professional and we always feel that our daughter is in very safe hands.
