Qualifications
My ongoing training helps ensure that I engage with latest research and thinking. Insight from previous employment helps ground me in the reality of my clients experience of career as a professional or business owner. Working both in the NHS and as a clinical supervisor ensures I get lots of feedback on my practice beyond that available in purely private work. This helps me question and stay fresh with my ideas about what might help my clients.
Qualifying training:
The path to this psychotherapy qualifying training included Relate's (University of East London) relationship therapy diploma and their clinical supervision certificate.

The perfect balance of care, engagement and challenge. I have found my time with Chris utterly invaluable

Chris was my therapist for about 3 years. I have the greatest respect for him as a person and for his abilities. He has worked really hard with me to help me develop what I needed. He has always been not just professional but kind and human. What I love the most about the way he works is that he is open to experimentations, lateral thinking, and he can sometimes be practical and proactive. I always felt supported and at the same time encouraged to develop my own ideas and ways of approaching an issue - he would work with it and adjust to it. The experience I have of my life today is substantially different from 3 years ago and he certainly played a big role in that change. I can only all heartedly reccommend him.

Chris has been extremely helpful in exploring and understanding why my mind works in the way it does and providing tools to address the struggles and challenges I was facing, through both exploring my past and understanding how it’s impacting my present and also through his knowledge of the way the mind works and helping me understand the mechanics of it. Chris’s knowledge and experience of working on relationships, working with expats and with gay men was a perfect fit for me, his kind, friendly manner and ability to communicate ideas clearly were so helpful in guiding my journey and creating safe space to share my thoughts and feelings.

Over the past few months, Chris has provided an unrivalled service which became an essential part of my life. Working through past trauma, recent events and fears of the future, a relationship was formed which allowed open and honest exploration of those issues. Chris created an environment in which I felt safe and free of judgement. As a male client, it was highly beneficial to work with a male therapist and I felt completely at ease discussing all aspects of my personal and private life, including thoughts and feelings which I felt unable to discuss with even my closest friends. Chris empowered me to explore thoughts, fears and worries which had affected me for years, creating a dialogue which enabled me to reframe and take back control. Chis isn't afraid to challenge you, but he does so in a sensitive and appropriate way, which I found incredibly beneficial. I highly recommend working with him, either in person or online, and hope others find the experience as useful and rewarding as I did.

Over the last couple of months, I've had my first ever therapy sessions with Chris. He made me feel very comfortable, explained the process well and always gave me the opportunity to drive the sessions in any direction I might find helpful. It's been a fruitful journey that I think I'll most likely come back to when the time is right.

My partner and I had never done couple therapy before. After a couple of months of continuous work, we have already seen great improvements in our communication and relationship. Chris has been a wonderful therapist, always caring, always listening, and making sure we were both participating in the sessions. Couple counseling can be a great way to see yourself and the person you love from a totally different and more positive angle.

I've had the opportunity to talk with Chris for around 18 months, touching a range of issues from work-related stress and anxiety to relationship troubles and childhood traumas. Chris helped me gain awareness of thinking patterns that might be holding me back and gave me the tools to move towards my goals. For this, I thank him very much.
