Choosing Dr Atheron for my rhinoplasty was life-changing. From the start, Duncan provided a professional and reassuring environment, thoroughly explaining the procedure and answering all my questions. I had a big ask – not to look like I’ve had a major rhinoplasty op. The surgery went smoothly, and one year later, I can confidently say the result is fantastic - my new nose looks completely natural! Most people are unaware I’ve had a nose job (even my parents, who needed to see before and after evidence to notice a difference). It feels like I finally have the nose I was always supposed to have. Recovery was easier than expected, with practically no pain and minimal scarring (despite having an alar base reduction). Dr Atheron and the team at the Cadogan clinic provided excellent support pre and post-op. I highly recommend Dr Atherton to anyone considering rhinoplasty. I cannot express in words how grateful I am. Thanks to Duncan and his outstanding skills, I can now live my life to the fullest with newfound confidence. Thank you!

Duncan is a brilliant surgeon. Having consulted three of the top-rated nose surgeons on Doctify and Real Self, I really wanted Duncan to do my surgery because not only is he an expert on functionality, I felt he really understood people’s faces including symmetry and a real sense of what suits an individual's face. I had a hooked nose when I smiled and a deviation, both of which had started to bother me in recent years as I reached my mid-Forties. I'm pretty much aligned with all the positive reviews he has received online about consultations and approach. Being of South Asian heritage, he managed my expectations of recovery, bruising and swelling. Though, it turns out, I didn't really have much to worry about, which I think lends to his skill as a surgeon. I had a small bruise for a few days, a bit of cheek swelling for a couple of weeks, no pain whatsoever, a bit of nose throbbing for a couple of hours during the evening after-surgery (resolved with a paracetamol) and my nose was stuffy (not unbearably) for about four weeks. Two months on, the tip of my nose is a bit numb and I guess slightly swollen still, though I'm not really concerned as he said it's to be expected at this stage. I watched all his videos, read the FAQs and followed the instructions closely, called the clinic a couple of times for a few specific questions around exercise and cleaning my nose. I also stuck to a good diet and went on several long walks to compensate for the no-exercise/sport period. Most importantly, I'm breathing well, my nose is straight, and it looks better than I could have ever imagined for myself. I realise he's a scientist, but looking at my nose, he is also very much an artist. It's clear that he's really passionate about his work and the surgery outcome for his patients.

From the moment I walked into Mr Atherton's office, I felt very confident, calm and understood all of the complexities associated with my particular case, a revision rhinoplasty. He was incredibly thorough in explaining all of the risks and I felt more than confident that he was the person to fix my nose. I essentially couldn't breathe properly for 20 years thanks to a bad nose job (and that is being kind!). Six months on from the surgery, I am happy to say that not only has my breathing improved drastically, I can smell properly again. And I didn't realise how much my sense of smell had been compromised until a week after the surgery when the splints came off and I couldn't believe how wonderful freshly cut fruits and vegetables actually smelled. My nose looks fantastic - this was an added bonus as for me it was about being able to breathe and smell first. This truly has been a life changing surgery and I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr Atherton is a fantastic doctor. Got the recommendation from a friend who used to work / train as a surgeon with him, so I thought this is a very reliable source (I am particularly picky and it is very hard for me to trust people - wanted to do my nose for several years but never got myself to trust anyone). Well he didn't disappoint at all! It looks fantastic today and the best thing is no one notices (to be clear my nose was completely ugly before) - it looks so perfect and so so so natural. Experience was literally fantastic back to back - very caring and kind in the appointments - takes notice what you like and dont like makes suggestions; literally a perfectionist when it comes down to looks/ the surgery itself (which is great as I am too!). Also my mom who is a doctor herself picked me up from the clinic and stayed with me for 3 days and she was herself surprised how well the operation has been done given I had no bruising and very little swelling (usually the face skin is very sensitive to bruising and I had none). I couldn't recommend him more warmly!!!

Duncan is a truly talented surgeon. Despite my situation being a little tricky, he has managed to completely transform my nose, but still leave me looking like myself. Other surgeons I consulted told me they couldn't help me or could only fix things that were less of a concern, but Duncan looked at the whole together and made the necessary modifications to bring it all into harmony and achieve the result I wanted, even though it was challenging to do. He has a friendly, down to earth yet confident manner that inspires confidence and trust. So glad I went ahead with Duncan, I can't recommend him enough.

I met Duncan in March 2023 for my first consultation, during which I never felt rushed and felt Duncan took the time to understand my desires. I was initially worried that Duncan would feel that my small hump wasn’t worth surgery however I felt he understood my motivations. I was conveyed the risks and at no point was I ever rushed to make a decision. Duncan let me take away a couple of morphs so I could think about my preferred aesthetic outcome. After our first meeting, I felt Duncan and I were on the same page. Duncan’s assistant helped me book the surgery and I received everything from the quotes to the booking confirmations promptly. I had a final consultation with Duncan to confirm my preferred morph and answer any questions. Dr. Rajesh, the anesthetist, was also in touch with me before surgery to answer any questions about the anesthesia. I was hugely grateful for this personal touch since I was very nervous about ‘being put under’. My surgery was booked early in the morning which suited me from a fasting perspective. I was booked into The Real Clinic by Richard. I was so nervous before the surgery but Richard immediately made me feel at ease. His demeanor is super positive and he had me smiling within seconds. I met with Duncan before the surgery to talk about the plan and he answered any final questions. Duncan’s bedside manner is impeccable and I started to get excited about seeing the results. Finally, I met with Dr. Rajesh whose knowledge and professionalism put me at complete ease, he was wholly empathetic of my nerves and appreciated that it was my first time under general anesthesia. I woke up after surgery feeling great. I didn’t feel any nausea or pain. I was able to eat and drink almost immediately. I felt attended to by the duty nurse. My partner also appreciated being called by the clinic and being told that I was okay straight after the surgery. The results have exceeded my expectations completely. My motivation for the surgery was to remove the hump however, Duncan managed to straighten my nose from the front as well as remove the hump. My nose looks like the nose I was supposed to be born with. The scars are barely noticeable after 3 months. My nose now looks completely natural and the surgery was virtually unnoticeable to my friends and colleagues even though it’s a huge change when I look in the mirror. Furthermore, Duncan fixed a hidden deviation meaning my breathing is better than before. I can’t thank Duncan enough for his work, I would wholeheartedly recommend Duncan.

Best surgeon when it comes to nose surgery in my opinion, as I've done a lot of reserach prior my surgery I knew I can trust him. I couldn't be happier with the result. Dr Duncan is a perfectionist, and you'll get the best result, just trust the process.

I have known Duncan since 2010 when we trained together at Charing Cross Hospital in London. He has extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery with fantastic outcomes and very happy patients. He is ' a go to person in London, UK and beyond for rhinoplasty procedure and someone I would go myself if I was a patient as I have full trust in his abilities. Duncan is thorough, dedicated and has attention to detail, extremely organised and always goes that extra mile for his patients and colleagues. I highly recommend him.

Mr Richard Young
I am delighted to recommend Duncan Atherton. He is a friend and colleague who I have known for several years. He has a major interest in paediatric facial deformity and facial surgery in general. He works with children with cleft lip and palate both here and abroad and as part of that profile has a major interest in adult facial surgery including rhinoplasty. He is already well recognised in the field of aesthetic rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic surgery.
