Dr Andreas Schenk is an experienced General Psychiatrist. He qualified as a medical doctor in 1992 and as a specialist psychiatrist in 2000. He has worked as a consultant psychiatrist for over 7 years, including several years with the National Health Service (NHS) in England, before being appointed to his current positions at the Priory Hospital Southampton in 2007 and Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital 2013. Maintaining an active outpatient practice of more than 500 clients per year, he is always pleased to welcome new patients.

Prior to specialising, Dr Schenk was a GP with a special interest in Chronic Fatigue (ME). He has been in charge of biological psychiatry and psychotherapy units, assisting those with personality difficulties. In addition, he has worked in liaison psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, and eating disorders. His work outside of the UK has given him valuable cross cultural perspective on Psychiatry which led to his completing parts 1 & 2 of the USMLE examinations (American Medical Licensing exams).

Dr Schenk believes in an individualised approach to treatments.
