Have bad nerve pain in the feet which has been ongoing for sometime. Tried the chilli type patches which reduced stinging feelings a lot. taking a bit less cocodamol now and the night time tablet, still painful but much less
I've had headaches for a long time and tried many medications which were not effective. I had a couple of injections at the back of the head which reduced the pain by about 80% and take less medicines than before. only thing is have to repeat but i dont mind as feel a lot better
Had some neck injections and shoulders was pretty good for a few months, allowed more physio and osteo to work. Nice guy, responds to emails quickly and easy to get appointments
I had an injection which was very good so am going to go for the next procedure on, hopefully will last longer than the first as suggested. Been communicating on email and he always answered promptly and helpful
Dr Woo did some injections for my back which helped by about 60 to 70 pct, then had some physio which helped a bit. I also went for some chiro and osteo after that, did not hep much. better than taking ibuprofen and codeine long term not great with side effects
Had some electrical stimulation of nerve pain which was very good especially first few months, then repeat also helped a lot. I dont take medications now as they had side effects. I tried many nerve medications but generally dont like them .
Good doctor was quick at getting back to me to sort some problems out.
I have seen a few pain specialists in US and Europe about my neck pain and had quite a few injections and medications done over many years. He told me to try conservative things like acupuncture, exercises, mindfulness and help for anxiety and depression which I have had also. Was a bit surprised he did not recommend any injections but I am doing all the other things he mnetioned. It's true stress and work load makes the pain much worse and no sleep makes it all worse.
Been having some bad headaches for sometime on top of head. tried a few medications but dont like side effects. also tried acupuncture and meditation. had some injections on back of head worked really well for few months so i can stop tablets. have to repeat to see how long it will last again but definitely makes a big change not needing medicine
Visited a few times and tried various combinations of injections, medicines, some physio for my back pain. Did take sometime but improvement is there, hopefully will go further.
Had some injections for back pain and worked very well, will progress to burning off small nerves to back later and hopefully will be even longer lasting. some small problems with booking but was hospital's admin problem, he sorted out quickly
Tried some medications which helped a bit with fibromyalgia, and advice on general lifestyle, sleep etc. Helpful and communicative with emails
Good experience talking about neck and shoulder pain. Some medicines added to injection worked well and hope it will last. good communication over emails and response
Have bad feet pains from an operation which was due to nerve problems. Treated with various drugs and plasters which lessen pain, better now hopefully will last
discussed some treatments for neuropathic pain including drugs and chilli patches, tried chilli patches which worked well especially after 2 times. foot less sensitive and sleep easier
Was quick in responding to my request for a consultation. DIscussed pros and cons of some treatment options and have decided to go for conservative treatment first. Assured me that pain flare ups come and go and can happen and how to manage
Nice friendly doctor. Had neck pain for many decades now, tried some medications to help with sleep and bit of injections. Overall some improvement with the injections especially and helpful with advice.
Quite nice guy straight forward and friendly. Wont discuss my pain problem but he gave me a view of how to handle it without medications or injections. Also answered some of my emails after without extra cost so that was a nice move. would recommend
Had a few injections for my neck pain, first wasnt very effective but the third and fourth made a huge difference. Also asked me to concentrate on posture and movements
Nice doctor, straightforward and told me benefits and disadvantages of different type of treatment for back pain. Decided to have botox injections into the spasms in back and worked very well for a few months and helped with swimming
Had a few injections for my neck pain, first didnt work too well, subsequent ones work better. Still some background pain but overall better, can move my shoulder more and move my neck more easily with physiotherapy
Gave me account of my pain problem and suggested some lifestyle changes and medications ad hoc. Honest with me that injections or interventions wouldnt help and to manage conservatively
Had some shoulder pain for sometime, he gave me injections which worked for a few months which was very good as I could do a lot more. Hopefully a few more injections will sort it out long term without taking medicines
I have had neck and back pain for a few decades and having had many forms of treatment. Dr Woo was clear that there were no magic cures or treatments which would help pain like this and reduced my medications over time. At first I was reluctant as I have been on it for years and was difficult but after 9 months I think I am better off it. He has also given me some repeat injections and other forms of durgs advice and generally things are better by about 30 or 40 percent which I feel is very good.
I like that he was honest about difficulties with chronic pain and that some treatments should be self directed rather than relying too much on medications alone. I now use medicines on occasions but not regular and hopefully the improvement will be long lasting,
I saw Dr Woo a few times for my neck and shoulder pain. I think the injections were correctly targetted as it seem to hit the right spots and each time the pain got better. Previous injections did not really help as I think they were not properly placed. I continue to have some minor pains but overall it is much better compared to pain I've had in the past few years.
Quick communication and flexible with dates and times. Went through my pain problem and suggested a few treatment options. Although it took a few months to get here overall my back pain has improved a lot with a combination of medications and injections . Dr Woo has been very understanding and realistic about back pain which I have had for a long time. Thank you
Highly recommend, went through my history and the course of medications after a few weeks helped with severe pain. Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and chiropracty did not help for a long time. Pain not completely gone but seems a lot better and able to cope and functiona lot better at work, sleeping also improved
Good consultation about my pain problem. Good communication especially over email and was happy to answer quick questions online. Gave me a range of options including medicines, injections and physical exercise to manage the pain and his advice has been generally effective and thoughtful over the past few months. I have seen quite a few pain consultants and would definitely recommend Dr Woo.
Nice doctor, pleasant and straightforward. Told me I did not need any injections like the others I saw but to manage my pain with some as required medications and lifestyle changes. Probably the best thing I thought so will need to pace myself and do some acceptance. Thanks for meaningful consultation.
Dr Woo looked at my neck pain and decided to do some injections which very helpful. The decrease in pain allowed more physiotherapy to be performed and I am taking less medications. I would have a few more injections to help with more neck muscle strengthening exercises. Thank you, has worked much better than some other treatments I have had before.
I saw this doctor and he was very polite and detailed in his explanation of my back pain. He gave me some options of what can be done and the injections worked very well. I hope to do more physio to strengthen my back and hopefully keep it under control. I recommend highly.
Mr Woo was very helpful and reassuring today, he showed great interest in my symptoms and offered several options to me, Also explaining the benefits of each individual type of treatment available. After 2 years of constant pain and discomfort . After this visit I felt there was indeed some hope of some relief to look forward too. Many thanks!!!!
I saw him for my longstanding back pain and had good advice about treatment options and self management techniques. Would recommend
I have suffered from chronic pain for over 6 years. During this time, I have seen numerous NHS and private pain consultants. I have been a patient of Dr Woo's for just over a year now. I would describe him as polite, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He has also involved me in my own care. For example sending me journals/medical evidence on medicines or treatments he suggests, leaving it up to me to decide whether we try it or not. I feel Dr Woo understands the long term effects of chronic pain on patients and does his uttermost to relieve suffering and improve quality of life.
Dr Woo has always replied to my emails promptly in his own time and free of charge. Clinic letters have been copied to me via email, usually on the same day but to date always within 24 hours which is helpful as it allows me to see my GP quickly and make any changes suggested by Dr Woo.
Overall I would definitely recommend Dr Woo and am pleased I chose him.
Good explanation of my condition, and good options offered. Took time to go through my concerns. I have had pain for a long time so have seen many different doctors. Will definitely recommend
