About

Dr Tari is a Consultant Psychiatrist working in both the NHS and the private sector. He qualified as a doctor in 1997, initially working as a General Practitioner (GP) and then in various specialities for a number of years before specialising in psychiatry, which provided him with an in-depth understanding of the impact of physical health on a person’s mental health and vice versa.

He completed his post-graduate psychiatric training at Central and Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and from 2015 to 2018, he was appointed as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist at Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Tari was a clinical lead for an in-patient team delivering complex psychiatric and psychological care to acutely unwell patients who suffer from severe mental disorders.

Dr Tari then worked as a substantive consultant for East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) as a clinical lead for a community mental health team from 2018 to 2020. He was also the Associate Clinical Director and lead consultant for local community mental health teams working to deliver complex psychiatric and psychological care to patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions ranging from depression and anxiety disorders to psychotic, bipolar and personality disorders. Dr Tari was the lead consultant for Adult ADHD Service in Luton and Bedfordshire.

He joined Priory Group in January 2020 and currently works as a clinical lead for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). He also works as the lead consultant for Bedfordshire Adult ADHD Service.

He also has a keen interest in teaching, frequently teaching medical students, Foundation Doctors, Psychiatry Trainees and speciality doctors in his NHS Trust and at the Priory Hospital.

He is a clinical supervisor to higher, core trainees and speciality doctors.

I would highly recommend Dr Tari to anybody seeking professional psychiatric advice. He arranged to meet me very soon after my initial inquiry and made me feel very at ease throughout the entire consultation - his demeanor was very pleasant, he listened well and showed great empathy and understanding of my circumstances. His recommendations moving forward were also very insightful and, without a shadow of a doubt, have helped me tremendously. For anybody who has reservations about seeking consultation just as I did; I can recommend nobody better.

I worked with Dr Tari in the same NHS Trust & we work very closely to each other in the private sector. Dr Tari is a very calm & compassionate psychiatrist. His outstanding clinical skills allow him to manage complex clinical presentations confidently. He has excellent knowledge of psychiatric medications & is always welling to work with other mental health practitioners in order to provide his patients with the best service. Dr Tari is a very honest, reliable & I would certainly recommend him to any patient who would like to see an excellent psychiatrist.
