Dr Andrew Deaner is a Consultant Cardiologist at King George Hospital and at the London Chest Hospital. He also works privately at Spire Roding and Spire Hartswood hospitals in Essex. He graduated from University of Leeds in 1987 and completed his speciality training at the London Chest Hospital. He is currently the clinical lead in Cardiology and Clinical Director of Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust in Essex.
Dr Deaner is a widely experienced doctor whose expertise covers a wide range of heart issues, includes all types of cardiac disease, coronary artery disease (angina and heart attacks), valvular heart disease, palpitations, pacemakers and heart disease in pregnant women. His services include both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty and stents, pacemaker implants and transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Deaner is heavily involved in teaching junior doctors and is currently the Chair of the Specialist Training Committee for General (Internal) Medicine for North Thames, as well as the Regional Speciality Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians and Secretary of The Cardiology Council of the Royal Society of Medicine.
