Dr Andrew McIver went on to work in some of the UK’s busiest hospitals, following his initial medical qualification in the North of England. His Accident & Emergency experience includes 4 months with the North Queensland helicopter ambulance service. Later in his career, he worked for 2 years in the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Room at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Owing to his extensive medical experience, he later became director of Sloane Medical Practice in 2010.
Dr McIver takes part in a wide variety of general practice and stresses the importance of the doctor–patient relationship, believing that it is central for the delivery of high-quality health care in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
In his personal life, Dr McIver lives in London and enjoys travelling independently, particularly to the Far East.
