Dr Thomas was extremely thorough when considering my treatment options. I was in serious pain having slipped 2 discs in my neck, but am pregnant and diabetic which caused a number of complications. Dr Thomas did a lot of research into the options available, the benefits and the risks and set them all out clearly for me (and my husband) prior to making any decisions. He also consulted with a number of colleagues to get their views and checked with my obstetrics team. We decided to go ahead with a steroid injection in my neck. We took all possible precautions on the day including lead wrapping for my abdomen to protect the baby from the X-rays and using a highly experienced anaesthetist. I felt fully comfortable throughout the whole process, from the initial consultation, the procedure and the follow up. The steroid injection has worked well, the pain is significantly reduced and I am back working and able to parent my 18 month old son properly again.

Dr Thomas is a kind person, who took great care to explain the treatment to be carried out. And when further treatment was necessary, he ensured that I was helped as soon was possible, (and at the expense of great time to him) to alleviate residual pain. This means so much to me and to my family that I received the experienced & compassionate care of Dr Thomas.
