Dr Punukollu has 10 years experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist working in Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and he has worked in private practice in a range of settings over the same time period. He is an expert in the management of a range of psychiatric disorders - general adult and addictions. He sees a great number of patients with a complex array of problems in his NHS and private practices giving him a wealth of experience.
He has a breadth of clinical knowledge and believes in working collaboratively with his patients. He is trained in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
Prior to working as a Consultant, Dr Punukollu gained experience by working in busy Central London Psychiatry training posts over 7 years (mainly at Charing Cross and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals). He was awarded a competitive grant to undertake a fellowship at the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Institute in the USA where he gained experience in addiction psychiatry research.
Dr Punukollu works in the NHS where he is a Lead Consultant in Camden and Islington NHS Trust, he lectures UCL medical students and is Programme Director for North Central London postgraduate psychiatry training scheme.
He has particular expertise in psychopharmacology and regularly attends workshops in the UK and USA in order to keep his skills at the forefront.
He treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in the NHS and private sectors.
