Dr Elliot trained in neuropsychiatry and has gone on to work part time as an Honorary Consultant Neuropsychiatrist. He currently works full time in the NHS as a consultant liason psychiatrist and Associate Clinical Director to the Department of Psychological Medicine.
Much of his role is neuropsychiatric, predominantly traumatic and hypoxic brain injury, epilepsy and functional neuroloical disorders. He also sees patients with cancer, severe asthmas, cystic fibrosis, endocrine disease and cardiac disorders. He has particular interest in seeing patients with brain injury, epilepsy and headache. He is also happy to see patients with more gneral psychiatric disorders such as anxiety and depression.
