Dr. Chris (Krzysztof) Rutkowski MD, PhD is a Consultant Allergist at the Department of Allergy, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London, a European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and World Allergy Organisation Centre of Excellence. He trained in allergy in Cambridge.
Dr. Rutkowski has extensive experience in all aspects of allergy care. He sees patients with anaphylaxis; food allergy; urticaria (hives) and angioedema (swelling); drug, vaccine and latex allergy; gastrointestinal allergy; venom (bee, wasp, hornet) allergy; allergic asthma; hay fever, allergic and nonallergic rhinitis/sinusitis/ conjunctivitis and offers desensitisation (immunotherapy) and omalizumab (Xolair®) treatment.
Dr. Rutkowski leads the largest anti-IgE (omalizumab) service for chronic spontaneous urticaria in the UK. He works alongside his dermatology colleagues in the first UK joint allergy/dermatology Difficult Urticaria Clinic at St John's Institute of Dermatology. He is a member of the EAACI Task Force on paediatric urticaria.
Dr. Rutkowski is a published author in the field of drug allergy and contributes increasingly to the education and training of MSc students, allergists, dermatologists, GPs and general physicians at a national and international level.

Dr Rutkowski has extensive knowledge of allergies and the effect of allergy on the whole body. He listens to the patient and imparts fantastic information, pertaining to the patient's case, which can take a long time to acquire elsewhere. Dr Rutkowski is clear on what he is able to treat and what is not within his remit to treat, which all patients need to hear, so that they can make informed decisions regarding the way forward. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Rutkowski as he certainly tried extremely hard to advise me correctly and to provide me with the evidence I needed for other medical professionals.
