After qualifying from Trinity College Dublin in 2002, Dr Flynn spent a year as a house officer in the Dublin Dental Hospital, concentrating on both restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Following this, he worked in private practice for over two and a half years and completed the MFDS exams before beginning a three-year post-graduate programme in endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute.
He was subsequently awarded the Membership in Restorative Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the highest formal qualification available for the endodontic mono-specialty, and entered onto the General Dental Council’s Specialist List for endodontics. Dr Flynn now lectures both in the UK and internationally, whilst also providing hands-on courses for dentists. Not only this, he has furthermore taught endodontics at the CPD Unit of the Eastman Dental Institute for Oral Healthcare Sciences.
Dr Flynn is founder and CEO of Endodontic seminars London, which is a teaching resource for dentists who, through it, have the opportunity to come and improve their knowledge and hands skills under close supervision of Dr Flynn. His entrepreneurial exploits do not stop here, he is also the founder of EndoTv, which is an online resource where dentists can learn from study cases that are referred to specialists and improve their diagnostic skills.
On a more personal level, Dr Flynn is a sporting enthusiast and is the star player of his Sunday League football team. In addition to this, he enjoys skiing and snowboarding and has travelled extensively, including a “round the world trip” in 2001.
