Professor David Veale is a Consultant Psychiatrist in London, specialising in mood and anxiety disorders especially obsessive compulsive disorder, health anxiety, emetophobia and body dysmorphic disorder. He is based at the Nightingale Hospital, London and The South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, where he has a keen interest in evidence based, non-pharmacological treatment interventions. David is also a visiting Professor at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences, Kings College London.
He has an international reputation publishing over 100 peer reviewed papers, several books and book chapters. David has previously chaired the NICE Evidence Update for obsessive compulsive disorder and body dysmorphic disorder in 2013; he was also part of the committee who wrote the NICE guideliens for OCD and BDD.
