Dr. Dawn Louise Adamson is an Interventional Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for Cardiology at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, where she leads the team of 12 Cardiologists providing a range of services to patients, in addition to treating private patients at BMI The Meriden Hospital and Nuffield Warwick Hospital.
Dr. Adamson earned her primary medical qualification at Imperial College Londo, St Mary's Medical School, after which she undertook her cardiology training at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where she was awarded an Interventional Cardiology fellowship under Hammersmith Hospital, where she gained knowledge and expertise in angioplasty. Upon completion of this fellowship, she was appointed Consultant at the University of Coventry and Warwickshire Trust.
Since her Consultant appointment, Dr. Adamson has gone on to develop an obstetric cardiology service at Queen Charlottes Hospital, in which she treats and manages women who are trying to conceive with known heart disease. This service has gained her national acclaim and recognition. She has been elected for the British Cardiovascular and has also chaired the British Interventional Cardiology meetings. She is also an active member of the medical education community, as she regularly trains junior cardiologists. Dr. Adamson has also written the Oxford Handbook on Obstetriccardiology.
