Dr Coffey is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a wide range of experience in adult and old age psychiatry. She has worked as a psychiatrist in the NHS and independent sector for the past twenty years.
Dr Coffey completed her psychiatric training at UMDS/South Thames regional training scheme in Psychiatry, Guy’s and St Thomas College London, and her higher training at North East Thames training Scheme.
Dr Coffey is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and on the Approved Clinician list. She is fully registered with
the GMC and is on a Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
She is approved by the Secretary of State under section 12(2) as having special experience in the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorder.
Dr Coffey provides assessment and treatment for patients with depression, anxiety, menopausal mood changes, stress,
obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar affective disorder and personality disorder.
She is also assessing and treating memory problems including dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Patients with concerns about their memory could opt for a comprehensive assessment including a memory test.

During her psychiatric training, she had additional training experience in psychotherapy. She also completed intensive training in DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy) and used it extensively when treating patients with significant personality problems.

She is a member of the BMA (British Medical Association) and the IDF (Independent Doctors Federation).
