About

Dr Diana Holdright received her medical degree from University College London (UCL) in 1984, having received a BSc in Human Genetics three years earlier. She completed her postgraduate Cardiology training in a number of London hospitals including The National Heart Hospital, The London Chest Hospital, The Royal Brompton Hospital, and UCL Hospitals.

Dr Holdright has been a consultant Cardiologist in UCL hospitals since 1997 and has over 15 years' experience as a consultant with her own private practice.

She is also a Cardiologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery where she has gained significant experience in many areas including managing blackouts and dizzy spells, the cardiac causes of stroke and assessing cardiac risk in epilepsy.

Dr Holdright was critically involved in establishing coronary angioplasty as the first-line treatment in the management of myocardial infarction (heart attack). She continues to make important contributions to the field with over 100 peer-reviewed articles published. Her research interests include the assessment of risk of sudden death in epilepsy, and treatments to limit ischaemia-reperfusion injury at the time of angioplasty in acute heart attacks. In her practice, one of Dr Holdright's areas of focus is the prevention and management of heart attacks. After a set of specialised tests she tailors a programme to your specific needs.

Dr Holdright's exceptional experience and excellent level of training ensures that she can provide the best standards of care and treatment to all of her patients.
