Dr Dorian Dugmore is an expert in physiology, working as an Exercise Physiologist at The Lanserhof Arts Club in London. His expertise is in cardiovascular health, preventative medicine and wellness and he has worked in cardiac rehabilitation and wellness for 25 years. Dr Dugmore is a former professional footballer and coach, however, due to injuries in his childhood and incorrect diagnosis of a heart condition in his 20s he chose to enter the field of cardiology.
Dr Dugmore has a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine and has been awarded a fellowship to the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (FAACVPR). He completed doctoral research regarding cardiovascular medicine. His many years of experience, education and contribution to cardiovascular medicine has led to him being recognised internationally as an expert.
Dr Dugmore formed Action Heart in the UK for cardiology patients. He also directed the centre for heart disease recovery in Toronto Canada and became the Chairman of the World Council for cardiac rehabilitation. He has also written extensively on health, exercise and heart disease utilising his expert knowledge. He has also earned numerous awards including an MEB ‘Heart of Britain Award’. He is currently contributing to Sports Cardiology and Prevention, which belongs to the European Society of Cardiology.
