Dr Clunie has been a consultant rheumatologist since 2000. He has works full time NHS at Addenbrooke's in Cambridge. He works in General Rheumatology but has a subspecialist and research interest in Spondyloarthritis conditions (Axial Spondyloarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis) and Metabolic Bone Diseases. Dr Clunie has managed DEXA and Osteoporosis Services since 2003 as Clinical Lead (Ipswich 2002-2012), Cambridge 2012 to the present. Dr Clunie is Clinical Lead for Rare Metabolic Bone Diseases for the East Anglia Region and runs the Eastern Rare Bone Network (ERBON), which is also recognised by NHSE anf The EU as a Highly Specialised Service. Dr Clunie is currently editor author of the Oxford Handbook of Rheumatology now in its 4th edition and writes the Chapter on Rheumatology for Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine Medical textbook, which is distrubuted and widely consulted globally.
Dr Clunie writes a blog regularly and has a website with information for patients and colleagues.
