Dr Geoff Davies is a Consultant Sports and Exercise Physician currently working at the private practice at Spire Cardiff Hospital. He has also been a Welsh Rugby Union National team Doctor since 2012 and is the current British & Irish Lions team Doctor.
His areas of interest include orthopaedics, osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal medicine, soft tissue injections and degenerative knee disorders.
Dr Davies attained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Welsh National School of Medicine in 1986. In 1990 he attained Membership of the Royal College of GPs and in 2005 a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He also has 20 years' experience of using Shock Wave treatment. He has a PG cert in MSK ultrasound which he uses on a daily basis. He also has a Fellowship of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise medicine and an elected member of the council.
Alongside his education and clinical expertise, he offers courses to GPs. He is also interested in the research of Epidemiology of injuries in Rugby Union and is interested in fitness and foreign travel.
