Georgina Hibbert is a Clinical Child Psychologist, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and chartered by the British Psychological Society. Dr Hibbert qualified in 2005 and since that time has worked in National Health Service, private and Local Authority settings. Georgina has led a specialist team of psychologists within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinic, working adopted and foster children. She uses treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy and narrative approaches in her work with children and adolescents with conditions such as depression and anxiety, panic attack, OCD and phobias. She has undertaken training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, in the neurological problems related to abuse, and in attachment related trainings. Georgina is able to provide specialist cognitive/psychometric assessments and diagnostic assessments for autistic spectrum disorder. She has extensive experience of working with children with attention and hyperactivity disorders. She also has particular experience in working with children who have suffered parental abuse. In addition to her work with children and their families, Georgina also offers consultation services to professionals and provides training to professional groups, as well as supervising doctoral research projects. Currently, Georgina practices at OSD Healthcare, near Hemel Hempstead in Buckinghamshire.
