Dr Girish Gupta is a Consultant Dermatologist in Glasgow specialising in skin cancer. He graduated from the renowned Manchester University Medical School and since then, has gained significant experience in both medical and surgical disciplines.
His special interests include the treatment of skin cancer, mole screenings, laser therapy, and teledermatology. While he is trained in a wide range of subjects in dermatology, his main focus is on skin cancer. As a result of his outstanding clinical performance, in 2009 he was appointed as the Clinical Lead for the West of Scotland skin cancer network and in 2014 he was appointed as a member of the National Cancer Research Institute skin cancer group. He has been Consultant Dermatologist at NHS Lanarkshire since 1999.
Dr Gupta also spends a lot of time doing research, participating in numerous clinical studies and audits. He’s written numerous articles in scientific journals, including a chapter in the international Textbook of Dermatology. His research has led him to being awarded an Honorary Associate Professorship by the University of Glasgow.
