Dr Jacqueline Bamfo is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a sub-specialist accreditation in Maternal and Fetal Medicine. She is currently working as the Clinical Lead for Fetal Medicine and Antenatal Screening at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital NHS Foundation.
Dr Bamfo graduated from Imperial College London studying Medicine and attained her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in London and Manchester. She completed a medical student placement at Yale University and conducted a 3-year research fellowship at Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine Research at the University of London and at Central Manchester University Hospital she completed training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Having worked at many hospitals across the UK, including Queen Charlotte's Hospital and University College London Hospital, has added to her expertise in gynaecology and obstetrics.
Alongside her clinical work and experience, Dr Bamfo attends International Conferences and continues to research within her field of expertise. She has also published many peer-reviewed journals about Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She was a Trainee Editor for 10 years at the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has reviewed several journals. She is also involved in educating other medical professionals for example by organising scan courses.
MBBS BSc DFFP, MRCOG MD (Res) RCG/RCOG Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound
