Dr James Darcey is currently working as a consultant specialising in both endodontistry and restorative dentistry at University Dental Hospital Manchester. He also works in general and specialist practice at Clinic 334 in Wilmslow and lectures both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Manchester Dental Education Centre.
After finishing undergraduate training in 2004 he began practising at Elaine Hawthorn and Associates. After several years of practice and further postgraduate training, Dr Darcey began speciality training at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester in 2010. He went on to attain Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, passed the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination and completed a Masters in Dental Public Health before starting as a consultant in 2015.
Dr Darcey has been the author of numerous scientific publications and in 2013 was awarded Young Dental Communicator of the Year Award by the BDEF/BDTA. He is also a member of the following organisations:
