Dr Joel David obtained his MB BCh (cum laude) in 1981 from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He trained in rheumatology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School/Hammersmith Hospital. Dr David gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1984 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 1996.
Dr Joel David works as a consultant rheumatologist at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Oxford and the Regional Specialty Advisor for Rheumatology for the Oxford Region. Dr David founded OxPARC (Oxford Paediatric and Adolescence Rheumatology Center), oxsport@noc (a state of the art Sport and Exercise Medicine Department in Oxfordshire), and a national referral centre for Autoimmune Thyroid Eye disease.

It is a pleasure to see Dr David. It’s an anxious time going to see doctors but he immediately put me at ease. Hugely caring and a complete expert in his field. Dr David explained the issues very clearly and gave me great reassurance.

I am a patient from abroad, well the doctor is an excellent listener as well as the received guidance and medication supports my life, moreover the clinic is operated in a highly discipline manner.

Dr David accurately diagnosed a mechanical spinal problem rather than its being vasculitis. His suggested course of action has been very effective.
