Dr Kurian is a Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in Pain Medicine.

He has a strong background in Internal Medicine and Neurology and completed training at the prestigious St George's Hospital in London, alongside various District General Hospitals in Surrey and Sussex as part of the South West Thames Anaesthetic Training Programme.

During this period in his career, he spent one-year full-time pain medicine training. He also had advanced training at the University of Lausanne Switzerland and under the auspices of Spinal Intervention Society in the USA. Dr Kurian is an avid proponent of a holistic approach to pain management, which focuses not only on pain relief but also the functional and emotional wellbeing of the patient.

He is a widely respected as being a keen supporter of patient empowerment through education and considers the clinical consultation to be a partnership based on effective communication and collaboration between the patient and the doctor.
