Dr Joseph De Giovanni is a Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in working with paediatrics. He qualified in Medicine in 1973 from the University of Malta, and chose to specialise in paediatric cardiology. He covers all aspects of heart and vascular diseases and structural heart defects including pacemakers, arrhythmia and ablation therapy.
He manages patients with congenital heart defects and can perform echocardiography and ablation and pacing for treatment. He has a particular interest in left atrial appendage occlusion and closure of paravalvular leaks.
Dr Giovanni has a practice at the BMI Priory Hospital in Birmingham and also provides appointments at Birmingham Children’s and the Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. He also works at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester and the Royal Victoria in Blackpool.
