Since 2008, Mr. Nunoo-Mensah has been a consultant colorectal and laparoscopic surgeon at King's College Foundation NHS Hospital, where he is currently head of the colorectal surgery department. In addition to leading the colorectal cancer MDT (multidisciplinary team), Mr Nunoo-Mensah also oversees the anorectal physiology laboratory. Also, Mr Nunoo-Mensah has been appointed as Chairman of the Conflict of Interest Committee at Cleveland Clinic London, as well as being a member of Cleveland Clinic London's Medical Executive Council.

Among his areas of expertise are colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, functional pelvic floor disorders, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and hernias.
In 1991, he graduated from Nottingham University with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Science, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1993. His basic surgical training was largely completed at Oxford and his higher surgical training was completed at Manchester. In 1997, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and pursued advanced training in laparoscopic surgery (minimally invasive) at the Mayo Clinic Arizona. He completed advanced training at the University of Southern California in 2001-2004 in complex/tertiary colorectal diseases, while concurrently obtaining a Master's degree in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice from Cardiff University.
Mr Nunoo-Mensah also serves as President of the prestigious International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons from 2022 - 2024. Furthermore, he has actively participated in postgraduate education and founded and directed the Dilemmas and Debates in Colorectal Surgery Conference at King's College London since 2013. Additionally, Mr. Nunoo-Mesah is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London, and he has published extensively in major surgical journals and textbooks. He resides in London with his wife and as a family, they enjoy traveling both within the UK and abroad. He loves rugby and to unwind plays touch rugby.
