Dr Julian Collinson completed his undergraduate studies in medicine in 1992 from the University of London. He then undertook his general medicine training in Manchester followed by his specialist training in Cardiology and Harefield Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospitals.
In 2000, Julian was awarded an MD for his work in research into the epidemiology and management of acute coronary syndromes. Previously the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Julian currently holds the position of Clinical Director for Medical Specialties there.
His specialist interests are angina, valvular heart disease, echocardiography, pacemakers and interventional cardiology. He is also actively involved in research where he is working on the management of acute coronary syndromes, heart failure and valvular heart disease. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on these subjects and has also contributed to publications on angina and heart failure.
