Dr Kamal Khan is a consultant interventional cardiologist in the UK.
Dr Khan undertakes assessment for all cardiac conditions but specialises in coronary artery disease. His area of expertise is coronary angioplasty (stents). He primarily undertakes his procedures from the wrist (radial approach). This can allow the patient to sit up and be more comfortable in their post procedure recovery with a lower risk of bleeding.
Dr Khan performs procedures on heart attack patients at the Manchester Heart Centre and you can be confident of the service provided by a specialist who is fully capable of dealing with both elective and emergency situations.
Dr Khan is a member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions. Undergoing coronary angioplasty can be very daunting for the patient but Dr Khan's professional, pleasant and calm manner will ensure the patient is confident in every step of their experience.
