Dr Katharina Schramm is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at the Richmond Practice in London. Dr Schramm has extensive experience in performing Ultrasound scans and is fully qualified to conduct well-woman checks, early pregnancy scans, fertility care, colposcopies and family planning.
Upon graduating from the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg in 2003, Dr Schramm undertook further innovative research for which she was awarded a PhD/MD from Basel University in Switzerland. She completed an internship with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva, focussing on congenital birth defects, before training as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist as Hospitals in the UK and in Berlin. In 2014, Dr Schramm begun an extensive two year fellowship programme with the world renowned fetal-maternal specialist Professor Nicolaides at King’s College in London resulting in her FMF and Degum certification for Down’s Syndrome Risk Screening.
Dr Schramm has conducted research into topics relating to ectopic pregnancy/pregnancies of an unknown location in addition to HIV/AIDS, much of which has been published. Her intimate knowledge of both German and British health systems allows her to properly understand and advise international patients mediating between different healthcare systems.
Outside of work, Katherina is mother to two children and enjoys an active lifestyle. She is a keen runner and is training for the Berlin Marathon.
