Dr Tawfik is a consultant general practitioner with extensive experience. After graduating from Imperial College London School of Medicine in 2013, he continued his training in the highly competitive North Central deanery in London, working at the Lister Hospital and University College London Hospital, among others.
Privately, he is the principle GP and founder of the GP service at the Harley Street Hospital (HSH), situated in the heart of London. He and the HSH team are committed to delivering personalised care facilitated by: sharing his mobile number with patients for simple queries; an in-house pharmacy that brings his prescribed medicines to you as you wait; and appointment times that are relaxed. On average, his appointments will last 30 minutes, but he acknowledges complex patients may require slightly longer. His standard first appointment fee of £200 is for a tailored consultation, not '30 minutes' of his time.
Outside of Harley Street, he works in the NHS in A+E and Urgent Care dealing with more acutely unwell patients. As a GP, he constantly strives to learn more about specialisms, and is developing a special interest in joint and muscle disorders as a Rheumatology Clinical Fellow. He has been awarded the title 'Fellow of the Higher Education Academy' for his extensive teaching work to both undergraduates and post-graduate colleagues.
