Dr Kristiana Gordon is a highly trained Consultant Dermatologist and world expert in lymphovascular medicine currently working in the London area. As well as having expertise in General Dermatology, she is also the lead clinician of the largest lymphoedema diagnostic and treatment centre in the UK.
Dr Gordon is actively involved in research into lymphoedema (affecting adults and children) and lipoedema. She is leading several research projects at St George's Hospital, where her NHS practise is also based.
Dr Gordon consults on all general dermatology for both adults and children, and treats conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and mole checks. In addition, she also leads a world-renowned national lymphoedema and lipoedema clinic. Her approach includes the development of personalised management plans for her patients (including advice on suitability for surgical intervention).
Dr Gordon studied Medicine at St George’s University, London and graduated in 2001 with Distinction. Her dermatology training took place in London and she was awarded the first Fellowship in Lymphovascular Medicine (2009) where she refined her skills and furthered her interests in lymphatic disorders. In 2014, she completed a research project looking at lymphatic disorders and discovered a new causal gene for primary lymphoedema. She was awarded an MD(Res) doctorate and the St George’s University Prize for the best project. Dr Gordon is regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings, including the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver where she was awarded the “rising star” accolade. Dr Gordon continues to remain active in the field of lymphatic research and regularly publishes in the medical literature. She is delighted to have recently secured a substantial international grant to pursue her interests in lipoedema.
