Dr Kwok Tang is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who completed his undergraduate training at the University of Edinburgh in 1991. Following higher specialist training in both gastroenterology and hepatology across London he is dual-credited in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.
Dr Tang’s training also includes a post as Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he trained in advanced endoscopy/colonoscopy and ERCP. Following this, he undertook a 3 year Wellcome Institute Research Fellowship and completed his MD in hepatitis/liver disease in 2003.
He is Educational and Clinical trainee supervisor in general Gastroenterology as well as an examiner for medical school finals and an interviewer for core medical training posts in the London deanery.
Dr Tang’s areas of special interest include endoscopy, ERCP, liver disease, pancreato-biliary disorders, irritable bowel disease/syndrome, dyspepsia and screening for bowel cancer. He has a large NHS and private practice devoted to the management of these conditions and general Gastroenterology.
