Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Dr Madhavi Manorahan completed her undergraduate studies in medicine at the Kerala University in 1997 followed by her masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the prestigious university teaching SAT Hospital in Kerala, India. In 2003, she was awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists which gave her the opportunity to train in several teaching hospitals in East and North London, specialising in ultrasound scanning in pregnancy and various gynaecological conditions. In addition to that, she undertook 2 more years on a specialist training programme in Fetal Medicine at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and developed her colposcopy skills at Barts and The London NHS Trust. In 2010, she obtained her certificate of specialist training in the UK and was appointed as a Consultant.
Currently working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Madhavi has extensive expeirence in fetal medicine and conducts specialist diabetic clinics for pregnant women. Her work in research has been presented on several occasions, including XIX World FIGO Conference Cape Town 2009 and the ISUOG conference in Hamburg 2009. She also published articles in various medical journals and has co-written a book chapter.
Madhavi is married with 2 children and lives in Enfield. Her passions include yoga and mediation amongst others and she is able to speak Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi in addition to English.
