Dr Mendall qualified in 1982 and specialised in gastroenterology training and research. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at Croydon University Hospital and Senior Lecturer at St George's medical school. He is an experienced endoscopist dealing with the full range of outpatient and acute and emergency gut and liver problems.
He is passionate about the general health of the whole person and how the gut impacts on health in other parts of the body
He was the Endoscopy director at Croydon University Hospital. He has over 90original publications and has written and contributed to a number of books - his main areas of interest have been into dyspepsia, irritable bowel and the body's response to inflammation and inflammatory bowel diseases including Crohn's and ulcerative colitis.
Dr Mendall works with dedicated GI radiologists, a specialist histopathologist, upper and lower GI surgeons and GI dieticians.
