Dr Michael Robson qualified with a first class undergraduate degree from Oxford in 1989, before undertaking clinical training in London. Specialising in Kidney medicine, he trained at King's College and Guy's Hospital. He has held a post as consultant Nephrologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS trust since 2002.
Dr Robson's career has involved cutting edge research into Glomerulonephritis, for which he was awarded a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellowship, as well as a PhD from Imperial College, London. He continues to advance the understanding and treatment of Kidney disease at King's College London. In addition to his laboratory research, he has a large role in a multi-centre trial researching vascular access for Haemodialysis.
He has a broad clinical practice, with huge experience in all aspects of Nephrology, as well as a specialist interest in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus) and vasculitis. Dr Robson and his team have one of the largest clinics for these diseases in Europe.
In addition to his NHS practice, Dr Robson sees patients privately at the very well equipped London Bridge Hospital.
