Dr Michael Samuel is a Consultant Neurologist based in London and Kent, UK. He qualified as a doctor from the University of Oxford in 1990, and has since gone on to become an expert covering all aspects of general neurology.
He was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist at King's College London Hospital and East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust after completing the Movement Disorders Fellowship in Ontario, Canada, in 2002. He has specialist interests in the treatment of movement disorders and complex techniques such as deep brain stimulation and works closely with allied sub-specialties to provide the highest standard of multidisciplinary care. He also offers specialist treatments for migraines.
Dr Samuel remains active in the research world by regularly reviewing academic articles for movement disorder journals. He currently holds a number of positions aside from his Consultant post, including Research Fellow, Clinical Fellow Supervisor, and the Principle Investigator for Parkinson's disease studies. in addition to this, he is a member of the Association of British Neurologists, the Movement Disorders Society, the British Society of Stereotaxic and Functional Neurosurgery, and the Clinical Study Group for the Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease Research Network.
