Dr Neil Wilson is a highly experienced dental specialist in the field of Prosthodontics, with a particular interest in Dental Implantology and Restorative Dentistry. His aim to transform the lives of his patients by providing them with the best smiles. He has been achieving this since 1991 by taking into consideration the needs of his patients.
Neil has achieved several awards and memberships, including the Diploma of Membership by the Faculty of the General Dental Council. In 1994 he was awarded for his MFGDP and then in 1999 he went on to complete a Master's degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Implantology. From this he was presented with a MFDS and this was awarded by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Following on from his Master's degree, he completed a specialist training programme for 4 years. Upon completion of this, he achieved a membership in Restorative dentistry (Prosthodontics), this was awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Through completing the training programme his name was added to the list on the General Dental Council.
More impressively, Dr Wilson completed a PHD at the Manchester Dental Hospital in 2008. His research was based on Implant Dentistry. After this, he currently works as an Honorary Senior Lecturer, along with Professor Trevor Burke at the School of Dentistry at Birmingham University. He is teaching the next generation of dentists and regularly writes articles based on his work on implant systems.
Apart from his clinical work, Neil enjoys partaking in several activities, including karate, running and training and entering his German Shephard dogs in competitions.
