Dr Nicola Clayton is a fully qualified and GMC registered Dermatologist who has a specialist interest in hair-loss and scalp conditions. Dr Clayton is current NHS post is at West Middlesex University Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where she treats adults and paediatric patients with a multitude of general dermatological diseases.

Dr Nicola Clayton completed her training in 2006 at The University of Bristol Medical School where she gained her BSc in Bioethics prior to her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She then left Bristol and went on to move to London for postgraduate training primarily at University College Hospital and St Mary's Hospital. Here she completed her higher speciality training in Dermatology at world class London teaching hospitals including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, The Royal Free Foundation NHS trust and Barts Health NHS Trust

In 2012 Dr Clayton was awarded the British Association of Dermatologists study fellowship which helped fund a 6 month hair fellowship at the St John's Institute of Dermatology with Dr Catherine Stefanato with a focus on histopathology. She went on to present her work at The World Congress for Hair research 2013, London histopathology Symposium and the American Society of Dermatopathology annual meeting.

Dr Nicola Clayton experience allows all to treat men and women of ages who are suffering from scalp conditions and hair loss including alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness and female hair loss), folliculitis, scalp psoriasis and scarring alopecia.

Having experienced the effects of alopecia Dr Clayton herself can understands the effects of living with this appearance-altering condition and is able to show compassion to the individual patient needs and is committed to delivering the best evidence based care, personalised for her patients with skin and hair conditions.
