About

Dr Patrick Dubois is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician at King's College Hospital in London and he also sees patients privately, including at The London Bridge Hospital. Dr Dubois studied neurosciences at Oxford University and then read medicine at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals - he graduated in 2001 with distinction.

Dr Dubois undertook post-graduate training in London and was appointed a Consultant in 2012. He was awarded a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship in 2006 and attained a PhD in 2011 for research into the genetic causes of coeliac disease and Crohn's disease.

He now leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service at King's College Hospital, which includes the development of a dedicated clinic for young adults, particularly those transitioning from paediatric services, and a coeliac clinic. This is combined with an interest in nutrition and artificial nutrition support. He also runs the gastrostomy (PEG) service at King's College, which has achieved consistently superior safety outcomes compared to national benchmarks. He treats patients with a variety of common gastroenterological symptoms including reflux, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation. He is an accomplished endoscopist and colonoscopist, and has an interest in the detection of pre-cancerous changes in inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr Dubois is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and member of the British Society of Gastroenterology and the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation. His research into IBD and coeliac disease has been published as have his many articles in gastroenterology.
