Dr Piers Clifford is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist. He graduated from Oxford University with honors in 1984 and then went on to complete his medical training in London, at the renowned St Mary’s Medical School. His specialist cardiology training took place at the Hammersmith Hospital where he was appointed Consultant Cardiologist in 1999, together with an appointment at Wycombe Hospital.
He is currently the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Wycombe and he is renowned for his skill in General Adult Cardiology, performing over 350 coronary angioplasty procedures each year. He has a special interest in coronary intervention, the treatment of hypertension, atrial fibrillation and inherited myopathies.
Dr Clifford is also very active in the research field, focusing on molecular cardiology and coronary intervention, having already gained an MD in the genetics of ventricular hypertrophy.
