Mr Praveen Patel is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based in London, UK. He qualified as a doctor from the University of Cambridge in 1997 following the completion of his first degree in Pharmacology. He went on to complete extensive postgraduate training in Ophthalmology, notably including training at the famous Moorfields Eye Hospital. At Moorfields, he also undertook the role of Clinical Research Fellow in conjunction with the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and was awarded the Moorfields Research Medal for his work relating to age related macular degeneration.
Mr Patel has established a well-earned reputation for providing excellent standards of care for patients with macular disease, including the use of Diabetic injections, photodynamic therapy and modern laser treatments. He continues to take an active role in academic research surrounding the use of novel therapies and is committed to offering his patients the most up to date treatments.
