Mr Rudrapathy Palaniappan is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon currently working at the private practise Harley Street, the Royal National ENT Hospital, in London and the University College London Hospitals NHS Trust. His area of specialism is neuro-otology including management of tinnitus and balance disorders and his areas of interest include vertigo/ imbalance, tinnitus, hyperacusis / phonophobia and hearing loss.
Mr Palaniappan attained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Madras University in 1983 and in 1986 he attained a Master of Science (Otolaryngology). In 1995 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and he attained a Master of Science in Audiological Medicine from University College London, in 1997.
Mr Palaniappan teaches Bachelor of Science and Master of Science courses at the Ear Institute. He has also set up a "Young adult Transfer Clinic", which started in early 2014. He also has a British Medical Association membership.
