Dr Russell Young qualified as a doctor in 1999. He first became interested in Radiology whilst on a surgical elective placement in Canada. After working a few years as a clinician in Edinburgh and Sydney, he returned to the UK in 2004 to start his speciality training in Radiology. His subspecialist interest is in musculoskeletal radiology, for which he trained during a radiology fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. Following that, he undertook a Consultant Radiologist post at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, which has excellent orthopaedic and radiology departments.

His experience spans over more than 9 years, time during which he worked with a wide range of professionals, such as Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors & Podiatrists, including working with semi-professional sports people and Swindon Town Football Club players.

Recently, Russell has been working at Cirencester Hospital, and for GP Care throughout Gloucestershire. In February 2017, he started a service providing ultrasound scans with guided injection treatments. He also provides a MRI and Cone Beam CT reporting and review service for Cobalt Health in Cheltenham.
