Dr Sen is an Internationally recognised Consultant Cardiologist at the Hammersmith Hospital. He leads the Imperial NHS trust Cardiology service for Central and West London. Dr Sen practices privately at 66 Harley Street, Hammersmith Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and the BUPA Cromwell Hospital.
Dr Sen has expertise in General and Interventional Cardiology. He has a special interest in the management and assessment of coronary artery disease and cardiac valve disease. Dr Sen is often invited to lecture and train cardiologists from around the world and perform certain procedures 'live' to audiences at International Cardiology Conferences.
Dr Sen performs coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, TAVI and pacemaker insertion at both the Hammersmith and Cromwell Hospitals.
Along side the clinical aspect of his career Dr Sen runs an active PhD research program which includes several first in man and larger multi-centre studies. All his research is focussed on improving patient care. Dr Sen's research has been published in the leading Cardiology Journals and has changed the way cardiology is practiced around the world.
Dr Sen's academic awards include the Royal Society of Medicine Investigator of the Year Award (2013), the Royal Society of Medicine President's Gold Medal (2013), the prestigious Imperial College Armstrong Medal and Prize (2012), the Investigator of the Year Award at the British Cardiac Intervention Society Advanced Coronary Intervention (2012).
